Facade Stabilization

The work was to install reinforced concrete foundations and a steel frame system to maintain the historic facade as the rest of the building was demolished. The work consisted of select demolitions of historic building elements for reinstallation; excavation; installation of reinforced concrete foundation with anchor bolts; gunite consolidation of the interior wall; fabrication and erection of 90 tons of structural steel framing; and, removal of the steel framing after the demolition was complete.
