The scope of this project was to convert four generic classrooms into a library and three science/physics labs.
Work consisted of demolition of existing masonry partitions; removal of floor finishes; acoustical ceilings; and, antiquated mechanical and electrical systems. New masonry partitions were constructed with integral door and glazing. Also, included was new laboratory casework with epoxy tops. Finishes included new linoleum floors, ceramic wall tile with accent tiles, acoustical ceilings, and painting. A new climate control green house was constructed in one of the labs. Mechanical work included new lab sinks with revised plumbing. HVAC system was completely replaced, including new digital controls. Electrical work consisted of new power distribution and lighting.
